Description
The 28W 12GPM UV Water Sterilizer is a mid-size ultraviolet disinfection unit with a 28-watt UV-C lamp in a stainless steel chamber. Rated at roughly 12 US gallons per minute (about 2.7 m³/h), it suits whole-house disinfection for most villas and small buildings. Water passing the lamp receives a germicidal dose that inactivates bacteria, viruses and cysts without chemicals.

Where it fits
The 28W 12GPM UV Water Sterilizer is a good match for villas with 3 to 6 bathrooms fed from rooftop or ground tanks, which are common in Muscat. Install it after a 5-micron sediment filter on the main line, after the pump. For larger flows, see our 25 and 55 GPM units in the UV sterilizers range. For background, see Wikipedia.
Lamp replacement
UV output drops over time even if the lamp still glows, so replace the lamp every 12 months and clean the quartz sleeve at the same time. Farz Water stocks 28W replacement lamps and sleeves in Muscat.
