Description
The pH Correction Dosing System is a packaged automatic system that measures the pH of water and doses acid or alkali to keep it at a set value. It combines a pH controller, a measuring probe in a flow cell, an electromagnetic dosing pump and a chemical tank on one skid or wall panel. It replaces manual dosing with steady, accurate control.
Where pH correction is needed
- RO permeate: RO water is often slightly acidic and can be corrosive to pipes. Dosing a small amount of alkali lifts pH to a safer range.
- Swimming pools: chlorine works best at pH around 7.2–7.6. Automatic acid dosing keeps it there.
- Cooling towers: pH control helps manage scale and corrosion.
- Process and wastewater: neutralising before discharge or reuse.
- Feed water to RO: acid dosing can reduce carbonate scaling on some feed waters.
How the pH Correction Dosing System works
A sample of water flows past the pH probe in a flow cell. The controller compares the reading with the set point and switches or proportionally drives the dosing pump. If pH is too high, acid is added; if too low, alkali is added. Alarms warn of high or low pH, low chemical level or no flow, and the pump is interlocked so it cannot dose when water is not flowing.

Maintenance
Clean and calibrate the pH probe every 2 to 4 weeks, replace the probe every 12 to 18 months, and service the pump valves and diaphragm yearly.
