Description
The RO Pressure Tank 3.2 Gallon stores purified water from a home reverse osmosis system so it is ready when you open the RO faucet. Inside the steel or plastic shell, a flexible bladder separates the water from a pre-charged air chamber. As the tank fills, the air compresses and pushes water out to the faucet with good pressure.
It is the standard tank size for most 5, 6 and 7-stage home RO systems in Oman.
When to replace an RO Pressure Tank
- Weak or sputtering flow from the RO faucet even when the tank feels heavy
- The tank holds very little water (bladder ruptured or air charge lost)
- Rust or corrosion on the shell, common in humid coastal areas
- Leaks at the base or valve
- Bad taste from an old tank

Key features
- 3.2 US gallon nominal capacity
- Food-grade butyl bladder
- Pre-charged air chamber (approx. 7–10 psi when empty)
- 1/4 inch tank ball valve included
- Stable base for under-sink installation

Checking the air pressure
If your tank delivers little water, first close the feed, empty the tank through the faucet, then check the air valve with a tyre gauge. It should read about 7 to 10 psi with the tank empty. If it is low, top up with a hand pump. If the bladder is damaged, replace the RO Pressure Tank. See more RO spare parts and complete RO systems. For background, see Wikipedia.
