Description
The PP Spun Filter Cartridge is a 10-inch, 5-micron cartridge made from continuous polypropylene fibres that are spun and thermally bonded into a depth filter. It is the most widely used sediment filter in water treatment: simple, reliable and low cost. We supply it singly to homeowners and in bulk cartons to maintenance contractors, buildings and businesses across Oman.
How a PP Spun Filter Cartridge works
Spun cartridges are depth filters. The outer layers have larger gaps that catch coarse sand and rust, while the inner layers get progressively tighter and trap finer silt. This gradient lets the cartridge hold much more dirt than a single-layer surface filter before it blocks. Because it is made only from polypropylene, it contains no glues, binders or surfactants that could leach into the water.

Replacement interval
