Description
The Brackish Water Membrane 4040 BW is a 4-inch by 40-inch spiral-wound reverse osmosis element for small and medium commercial RO plants. It is designed for tap water and brackish well water, the most common feed sources in Oman outside seawater desalination. One to six 4040 elements are typical in plants producing roughly 250 LPH to 3,000 LPH, used by restaurants, labs, clinics, schools, car washes, farms and small factories.

Designing with 4040 elements
Water in Oman varies widely in TDS, hardness and silica. The right number of Brackish Water Membrane 4040 elements, array design and recovery depend on your water analysis and required output. We use manufacturer projection software to size plants correctly and to choose antiscalant dosing that prevents scaling at the tail element. Replacement and maintenance
With good pre-treatment and regular cleaning, 4040 elements typically last 3 to 5 years. Can a BW membrane treat seawater? No. Seawater needs SW elements and high-pressure pumps.
Will a new brand fit my old vessel? Standard 4040 elements fit standard 4040 vessels. We check brine seal direction and interconnectors during installation.
