Description
The Duplex Pretreatment Skid is a factory-assembled package of two identical treatment vessels mounted on a common steel frame with interconnecting pipework and valves. One vessel is in service while the other backwashes or regenerates, so treated water is available 24 hours a day. It is used ahead of commercial and industrial RO plants and on the main supply of hotels, hospitals and factories that cannot accept interruptions.

- Duplex multimedia filters – sediment and turbidity removal
- Duplex activated carbon filters – chlorine and organic removal before RO
- Duplex water softeners – continuous soft water for boilers, laundries and kitchens

Why a duplex design?
A single filter must stop service while it backwashes. For many sites that is fine at night, but RO plants, hotels and process lines often need water at all hours. A Duplex Pretreatment Skid alternates the two vessels automatically, using timers or metered control, so the downstream plant never sees untreated water or a pressure drop.
