Description
The Dosing Pump Emec 10 L/h is a solenoid-driven diaphragm metering pump from Emec, Italy. With roughly twice the capacity of the 5 L/h model, it suits larger water flows or weaker chemical solutions, where more volume per hour must be injected to reach the target dose. It is a dependable choice for commercial RO plants, swimming pools, cooling towers and building water tanks.
When to choose the 10 L/h model
The right pump size depends on three things: the water flow, the target chemical dose and the strength of the chemical solution. For example, dosing diluted sodium hypochlorite into a large hotel tank, or antiscalant into a high-flow RO plant, can need more than 5 L/h. The Dosing Pump Emec 10 gives headroom so it does not run at maximum all the time, which extends diaphragm and valve life.

Applications
- Chlorination of hotel, hospital and building water tanks
- Antiscalant and dechlorination dosing for commercial RO
- Pool chlorine and pH dosing
- Cooling tower and chiller treatment chemicals
- Coagulant and flocculant dosing in small treatment plants

Proportional dosing
When water flow varies through the day, a fixed-rate pump over-doses at low flow and under-doses at high flow. Connecting the Dosing Pump Emec 10 to a pulse water meter or flow signal keeps the chemical dose constant. For chlorine and pH, a controller with probes can adjust the pump automatically. See more in our dosing systems range, and compare with the smaller 5 L/h model. For background, see Wikipedia.
Maintenance
Inspect valves and the injection point every 3 months, and replace diaphragm and seals yearly or as advised for your chemical. Keep spare valve kits on site for critical systems.
