Description
The Pleated Sediment Cartridge is a washable filter made from pleated polyester fabric. The pleats give it a much larger surface area than a standard spun cartridge, so it holds more dirt and keeps a strong flow. When it gets dirty, you simply take it out, rinse it under a tap, and put it back. That makes it a cost-effective choice for homes and businesses in Oman with sandy water.
It fits standard 10-inch housings, with 20-inch and big blue sizes also available.

Where it works best

How to clean it
- Shut off the water and release pressure.
- Unscrew the housing bowl and remove the cartridge.
- Rinse from the outside with a hose or under a tap, gently working the dirt out of the pleats with a soft brush.
- Refit the cartridge, check the O-ring and reassemble the housing.
Replace the cartridge when the pleats stay discoloured after washing, or after about 4 to 6 cleaning cycles. Do not use a pressure washer, which can tear the fabric.
Washable vs disposable
Disposable spun cartridges are cheaper per piece and give consistent fine filtration. Washable pleated cartridges cost more up front but save money over time on dirty water.
